On March 28, 2026, Mercer Island community members gathered to celebrate the long-delayed opening of the Island’s light rail station.
The newly expanded 2 Line, which now includes the world’s first light rail on a floating bridge, also gained another station at Judkins Park, Seattle, on the same day. A map of the current itinerary can be found here.
