State Update: MIHS Track and Field

Eli Yen, Sam Attisha, Ben Roe, Cameron Longwith, Susie Lepow, Jaya Woerner, Maggie Baker, Ashley Rudd, Gretchen Blohm, Ella Hensey, and Maya Virdell, 12 MIHS athletes, made the trek up to Mount Tahoma High School for the Washington State Track and Field Championships this past memorial weekend.

Cameron Longwith placed 18th in the 300m hurdles. Eli Yen placed 14th in the shot put and Ben Roe got 15th. In the discus, Roe placed 15th and Yen reached podium with 5th place. Sam Attisha placed 11th in the triple jump and 5th in high jump.

The relay team consisting of Eliza Crenshaw, Maggie Baker, Gretchen Blohm, and Maya Virdell placed 2nd in the 4×200 relay. Eliza Crenshaw, Jaya Woerner, Ashley Rudd, and Gretchen Blohm got 16th in the 4×100 relay. The 4×400 consisting of Maya Virdell, Ashley Rudd, Maggie Baker, and Gretchen placed 3rd.

In the open events Maggie Baker placed 3rd in the 400m. Ashley Rudd got 11th in the 100m hurdles and 2nd in the 300m hurdles. Maya Virdell placed 13th in the 200m and 4th in the 300m hurdles.
