Kyle Gerstel (he/him) is the Digital Editor for The Islander and this is his fourth year as part of the publication. Outside of school, Kyle serves as the Producing Artistic Director of Penguin Productions and a member of the TeenTix Editorial Staff. He enjoys eating s’mores made with dark chocolate, rewatching “The Social Network” and entering Ashwin Krishnaswamy’s house without his knowledge. Jordan Balousek is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the MIHS Islander this year, and in her fourth year of journalism. Outside of reading and writing, she loves to play soccer, watch sports and go to Molly Moons with her friends at 10 p.m. You can also probably find her teaching two-year-olds that it is not okay to bite pool noodles while she’s coaching at Arena Sports.

Kirin is a senior at MIHS, and this is her fourth year on The Islander staff and third year as the Graphics Manager. Besides journalism, her passions include dancing on the Drill Team and singing/songwriting.
