March 2 through 3, Grammy winning hip-hop artist Tyler, the Creator brought his “CHROMAKOPIA” tour to Seattle. From green jerseys to fun hats, the fans were there to have a fun time and see one of their favorite artists.
Tyler’s openers Lil Yachty and Paris Texas both did amazing performances that got the crowd warmed up for the main performance. Although Tyler did come on two hours later than when the concert started, the crowd was on their feet the entire time and singing along with the music.
Tyler’s first set seemed to be a huge green cargo container with the word “CHROMAKOPIA” plastered across the front. A large bridge came down from the ceiling for Tyler to walk across to his second, much smaller stage that looked like a little living room. Tyler went through a box of different records and played his best hits from each one.
Some of the records included “IGOR,” “GOBLIN,” “WOLF,” “Call Me If You Get Lost,” “Cherry Bomb,” “Flower Boy” and, of course, “CHROMAKOPIA.” At the end of the concert, Tyler played “Balloon (feat. Doechii)” with screens having Doechii’s face singing her part. His last song had blasts of fire and sparks coming out of the stage, ending the show in the perfect way.
